Two years ago, 2018 to be exact, I left my full time job as a Spanish teacher to pursue ministry full time. I had no clue what that looked like. All I knew was that I expected God to do something great with my life and I needed to make myself available to make that happen. I did not want to side line ministry any longer.
Now here I am, 2 moves, and one baby later serving full time in ministry as a worship leader and creative arts lead at Harvest Point Fellowship Church here in Houston. I am blessed beyond measure, but I must admit I didn't think it would look like this. I learned quickly that ministry really started at home. With one primary income, my husband and I decided to homeschool our 4 year old (who's now 5) until she could start kindergarten and of course be home with the now 8 month old.
Through these two years I've learned that at my very core, I am a creative. Some people like to use the term artist, but that term is so heavily associated with one who draws or paints so we'll just say creative. My desire is to create art that glorifies God and magnifies the King of Kings! So what does that look like?
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31
I believe that everything you do should bring glory to God, and be a form of worship to God. Whether it's working your job, taking care of your family, cooking a meal...it's all worship if you do it for the glory of God!
The R.A.W. Creative is a space where I can share the manifestations of my creative mind with the world, and I promise to do it in a real and authentic way because that's what it is "Real, Authentic, Worship."
So hold on tight! It's gonna be fun!!!
